Patrick Donahue Memorial Scholarship
The Patrick Donahue Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded on August 18, 2017, to honor the memory of Patrick Damian Donahue, Kyoshi, founder of The Brattleboro School of Budo. Kyoshi Donahue was the Founder & Head Instructor at The Brattleboro School of Budo for 21 years and devoted his life to preserving the history and promoting the practice of traditional Japanese and Okinawan Martial Arts. He was beloved by his closest friends - whom he considered his real family, his students, and by the Martial Arts Community as a whole. The Fund in his name offers scholarships to encourage personal growth and motivate individuals to become serious students of the Martial Arts. For a more detailed account of Kyoshi Donahue's past, please visit his Biography Page. Our Scholarship Program allows our students to train at discounted rates, or for free, and also provides them with Gi's (traditional uniform). Your support helps our students access opportunities for fun, learning, personal growth, self protection, and many other invaluable skills that lead to success at school, at home, and in their communities. |
