The Patrick Donahue
Memorial Budo Fest
The 1st Annual Patrick Donahue Memorial Budo Fest was everything we hoped for and more! It was a true celebration of the beautiful life that was Patrick Donahue, Kyoshi.
It mended a bridge between relationships that had suffered over time, it made us all laugh, cry, and reminisce, it even made us sweat! The Dojo was bursting at the seams with people, food and drinks were flowing, and music was playing (his kind of music)!
People from all over came to celebrate this man who touched every life he came into contact with, whether from a brief passing encounter - or decades of teachings. It was a beautiful weekend of healing and we will see you all again in 2018 (hopefully).
Please, be well, take care of yourselves, and remember Patrick with a big smile and a deep laugh. We will miss him every day until we meet again - but until then, we will carry on his legacy through his teachings.
Pictures will be coming soon.
Sensei, arigato goziamasu, deep bow.
